Job Description

The Procurement Lead will be focusing on strategic procurement function to support I-Mab US R&D Research, Facilities, and CMC in the US.  

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support procurement strategy & workflow according to I-Mab global procurement policy/SOP and purchasing best practice 
  • Work in close collaboration with business partners to get a clear understanding of business needs, determine the appropriate purchasing strategy, identify vendors, and ensure the consistency between the scientific specifications, vendor proposals, and contractual documents.  
  • The candidate will be expected to appropriately familiarize with lab operation, research services, and lab equipment category.
  • Provide support to the purchase-to-pay (P2P) process supported by the system, as needed.  
  • Coordinate providers’ performance assessment and provides support to supplier relationship management
  • Periodically finalize purchase order, change order, delivery details, etc.    
  • Lead day to day procurement operations for site procurement needs  
  • Support implementation of new procurement system, policies, and procedures.  
  • Perform risk management data analysis
  • Complete additional responsibilities as they arise

Qualifications

  • B.S/B. A degree is required (life sciences degree or business is preferred) 
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical procurement experience required
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a highly matrixed member of the R&D and CMC Site and Global procurement team. 
  • Good organization, communication, and coordination skills
  • Service oriented, data analysis skills 
  • Ability to speak Chinese highly preferred
  • Up to 20% travel or ad hoc 
  • Based in San Diego, CA
