What You’ll Do
Media Negotiating & Buying – 5%
Providefinal sign off on RFP creation and review of partners/site responses, act of point of escalation for partner negotiations
Act as a primary resource for team as they work through the planning process, while providing strategic guidance
Lead collaboration with other Horizon Next teams (Business Solutions, Investment, etc.) towards 360 partnerships, incorporating relevant extensions
Digital Media Strategy – 40%
Develop and articulate media strategies as it pertains to digital planning, buying and budget allocation, to help set the team up for success to build tactical plans
Employ Horizon Next’s suite of planning, evaluation and buying tools for application/analysis into competitive landscape, target digital consumption support, plan development and reporting
Lead brainstorms to kick off plan and consideration set development with the intention of bringing great ideas to life
Monitor trends, tools, opportunities and applications in biddable environments, and ensure all team members apply that knowledge in conjunction with performance teams
Workwith Supervisor to oversee junior team members and manage expectations with higher ups in the creation of media specific documents such as media plans, objectives and strategies decks, and other related functions
Reporting & Analysis – 5%
Collaborate with Horizon Next Analytics & Business Intelligence teams to aggregate data and ensure standardization across Next accounts
Act as escalation point for junior team members as they work through optimization strategies, proactively communicating challenges and opportunities across display, mobile, social and video
Coach junior team members on impactful insight writing that is routed in data and action but pulls in larger digital strategy and provide final sign off
Relationship Management – 10%
Have foresight and understanding of projects to maintain and adjust timing of deliverables for team at large, communicating changes to managers and leadership
Apply knowledge of current/previous clients’ specific business and industry to enhance and further relationships
Maintain a strong presence across Horizon Next departments (i.e. Business Solutions, Operations, Analytics, Biddable Teams), building trust and accountability
Act as primary resource for junior team members when faced with challenges navigating conversations with internal and external partners and clients
Act as day-to-day resource for client team to ensure prioritization of projects, understanding of goals and media that aligns with objectives to drive client business
Team Management and Delegation – 40%
Manage and develop junior team member(s), creating growth plans and providing clear career goals
Manage performance reviews, coaching to maximize success, identifying training needs for improved performance, setting goals for career development and ensuring actions are taken
Provide education and training on best practices, media principals, and industry at large
Participate in interview process for junior team members roles
Guide team in setting goals and project tasks and timelines, ensuring team members have challenging, level-appropriate projects and opportunities to learn new skills, contributing to overall team success
Responsible for leaning into Horizon Next initiatives while encouraging junior team members to participate and engage within the larger Next Digital community

Preferred Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience developing strategic media recommendations and stewarding digital media account projects, acting as a client contact
Experience with advanced analytics and performance media
Familiarity with marketing principles, analytics and concepts
Exceptionally skilled in Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to discuss how those functions can or should be applied relative to the media planning process
Expert in negotiating and constructing digital media plans, with understanding of planning, buying and activation
Robust proficiency in basic functions within systems and tools related to the media planning process (i.e. media management system, billing system, competitive and targeting tools)
Mastery of third-party ad servers
Experience with biddable channels and partner direct
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to confidently present and “sell through” ideas both internally and to Clients
Strong experience navigating cross-department relationships
Leadership and supervisory experience in terms of developing media professionals, including strategic and management skills

Salary Range: $2,115.38 to $2,596.15 a week. A successful applicant’s actual weekly or hourly rate may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity.
