As The CORE Institute continues to grow, we are looking for a Pool, Radiologic Technologist in our Peoria Lakes Clinic.  Please see below for the functions and requirements for this position.

This is not a full-time position. Hours are on an as-needed basis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Performs radiology procedures as ordered by physicians and providers.
  • Travels to other clinics as directed by Chief Technologist and/or Radiology Director.
  • Processes room add-on cases prior to scheduled cases.
  • Uses equipment in compliance to all safety requirements.
  • Complies with all HIPAA and OSHA requirements.
  • Reports any patient complaints or concerns to the Chief Technologist.
  • Establishes and maintains effective communication with physicians, employees and other departments.
  • Responds to patient questions as required to resolve issues and maintain high patient satisfaction levels.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Attends required department staff meetings.
  • The job holder must demonstrate current competencies for job position.

EDUCATION

  • Associates Degree in Radiology Technology and current ARRT certification.

EXPERIENCE

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital or clinic environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Current state and ARRT certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Knowledge of radiology exam policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of operating a PC and applicable computer software.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements within the department.

SKILLS

  • Skill in production of radiology exams.
  • Skill in obtaining patient information via the computer.
  • Skill in maintaining professional relationships with patients, family members and the public.

ABILITIES

  • Ability to effectively care for patients.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to patients, family members and staff.
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with providers.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Normal office environment.
  • Some travel within community.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS

  • Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
  • Combination of bending, lifting and transferring activities.
  • Manual dexterity using a calculator and computer keyboard.
