Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum two years of nursing assistant experience required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), or obtained within 90 days of hire.
- Current LNA, CNA, or UCNA licensure with state of Arizona.
Essential Functions
- Assists clinical staff in PACU/Pre-Op by facilitating the patient flow.
- Transports patient belongings from Pre-Op to PACU, locking all belongings in patient locker.
- Cleans monitors and sets up Pre-Op bays for incoming patients.
- Stocks supplies in Pre-Op and PACU
- Assists patients to the restroom in Pre-Op
- Transports patients to their vehicle from PACU.
- Assists charge nurse with any clerical needs.
- Maintains the comfort, privacy, and dignity of patients in the delivery of services to them. Interacts with patient in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring environment.
- Maintains flexibility with scheduling and job assignments in order to cover patient needs. Ability to work in multiple hospital units.
- Fosters a positive and professional hospital environment by interacting with all persons in a considerate, helpful and courteous manner and by participating as a team member.
- Has successfully complete required competencies required of position and various tasks as assigned by the nurse lead or designee and according to policy.
- Other duties as assigned.
