As The CORE Institute continues to grow, we are looking for a PRN Registered Nurse in our Brighton Spine Center. This is not full time

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of professional nursing experience in a clinic or hospital environment, preferably pre-op/post-op and or surgery center. 
  • ADN/BSN
  • Knowledge of acute and chronic protocols, administration of medications, delivering physical care following treatment plan
  • Knowledge of how to assess a patient with chronic medical conditions/understanding of pathophysiology regarding disease process.  

Essential Functions

  • Provides general nursing care to patients in the clinic. Administers medications per standing orders/medications written by a physician. Practices within the Registered Nurse scope. 
  • Maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials. Prepares equipment and assists physician during treatment  and examination of patients. 
  • Observes, records and reports change in patient’s medical condition, informs physician immediately, and follows through  accordingly. Educates patient/family about procedures and medications. 
  • Ensures patients displaying a change in medical condition are given immediate attention and priority.  
  • Maintains/reviews patient records, charts and other pertinent information. Ensures pre-op phone calls are made to patients and that these patients fully meet protocol for the procedure scheduled.
  • Respond to /refer incoming patient treatment-related phone calls. Instructs patient and family regarding medication and treatment instructions. 
  • Monitors patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians.  
  • Demonstrates knowledge and expertise in the recovery of patients post procedures. 
  • Demonstrates clinical expertise and professionalism when responding to emergencies.  Maintains privacy, confidentiality, and integrity of patient and organizational data.
