Compensation: 130,000/Yearly

HomeFirst serves more than 6,000 adults, veterans, families, and young adults each year at multiple locations from Gilroy to Rohnert Park – all of Santa Clara County as well Sonoma County, with planned growth in contiguous counties. We provide a full spectrum of services ranging from street-based outreach to interim housing to permanent housing and homelessness prevention. In addition, HomeFirst provides systems leadership to communities through initiatives such as Landlord Recruitment and Coordinated Entry Operation.

Program Summary:

As our organization grows, we are looking for a Project Management Director to support the Chief Program Officer in managing multiple initiatives that contribute to the fulfillment of HomeFirst’s mission to end homelessness. This is accomplished through collaborative program and process design, implementation, analysis, and improvement.

Responsibilities:

· In partnership with the CPO, develop effective programs and processes

o Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement

o Define new project concepts and processes to bring concepts to fruition

· Liase between CPO and Services Team Leadership, serving as a strategic partner

· Develop comprehensive action plans for new initiatives, including timelines and resources needed

· Monitor progress toward the fulfillment of initiatives, reporting out regularly and making revisions in the plan as necessary to ensure project expectations are fulfilled

· Identify and mitigate project risks

· Foster cooperation between teams, coordinating working groups/committees as needed

· Promote staff participation in program design and performance improvement processes

· Uphold HomeFirst’s mission, vision and values including the application of evidence-based approaches such as Housing First and Harm Reduction in program design

· Effectively utilize industry and agency data to drive strategic initiatives

· Other duties not limited to the above

Minimum Qualifications:

· At minimum 3 years of experience managing projects in a homeless services organization

· Evidenced success in cross-team collaboration and meeting facilitation including all levels of management

· Evidenced excellence in communication to internal and external audiences

· Excellent presentation abilities including organization of materials

· Strong attention to detail

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge:

Familiar with both the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness, and the services landscape designed to support them

Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite

Fluent in Asana or other project management program

Other:

· Able to perform sedentary work;

· Able to lift up to 30 lbs. on occasion;

· Ability to use keyboard and read computer screens for extended periods;
