Job Description

Summary:

The Financial Analyst will report to the Fluids NA Division Controller and be responsible for supporting the division with analytical support. The position will be based out of Tucker, GA.

Essential Duties:

  • Evaluate historical and current data to understand the company’s financial position.
  • Responsible for writing data-backed reports to support the management team in taking strategic business decisions.
    • Collaboratively and independently assist in the analysis of data through extracting and defining relevant information.
    • Provide analysis on customer and product mix, customer profitability, procurement, inventory, financials, etc.
    • Develop data models to aid in a greater understanding of the impact of manufacturing activities on financial performance.
    • Create and/or generate necessary reporting and analyses for Plant sites and Plant regions.
  • Develop financial models that forecast business outcomes and profits.
    • Leads Annual Plan, monthly forecasting, and long-range planning (LRP).
  • Measure financial risk associated with investment decisions.
    • Work to identify key issues and develop metrics that can quantify them appropriately.
  • Work with Business stakeholders to identify value added analytical opportunities.
  • Prepare timely reports to highlight discrepancies in a dataset and accordingly suggest business rules to manage them.
  • Provide analytical expertise and develop data analysis tools to assist in understanding and solving business problems
  • Travel up to 20% domestically.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or Accounting required (or equivalent work experience / CPA / CMA)
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong and proven analytical and strategic skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Problem Solving - identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully
  • Ability to work independently, asking for direction when needed
  • Oral Communication - speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; demonstrates presentation skills.
  • Written Communication - writes clearly and informatively; presents numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written information.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects and complete assignments quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interpret, concisely, data to all team member levels.
