Job Description

Position reports to Team Leader or Production Supervisor of the business unit. Direction is given where a definite objective is set up requiring the use of a wide range of procedures. Employees will have frequent contact with people in the same and other departments.  

  • Fabricate, assemble and TIG weld and finish associated stainless steel equipment and components from blueprints, sketches and verbal direction. 
  • Work to gain knowledge and new techniques to improve and increase productivity. 
  • Follow all safety and housekeeping rules. 
  • Actively participate in Safety Program 
  • Follow company policies. 
  • Cross train into other areas and job functions as needed. 
  • Willing to assist in other areas as needed. 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Minimum age requirement is 18 years. 
  • Successful completion of an internal welding demonstration test  
  • 6+ months basic TIG welding experience required.
  • Demonstrate basic TIG welding, grinding and finishing skills (demonstration Rec’d). 
  • Basic assembly skills. 
  • Working knowledge of the following tools: air or electric tools, drill press, and various hand tools. 
  • Proficiently read and use a tape measure. 
  • Read and understand English in order to read/interpret prints, diagrams and drawings. 
  • Proficient math skills. 
  • Must be a team player, including good interpersonal skills 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Completion of an accredited two-year welder's training program 
  • Experience with sheet metal manufacturing 
  • Experience working in a production environment 
  • Forklift experience.  *Gaylord certification will be required.
