Job Description

Diagraph Internships/Co-Ops provide students with valuable exposure to our industry and leaders. Our program provides candidates working toward their bachelor’s in an engineering field.  The Engineer Intern will be responsible for understanding, analyzing, and documenting current processes and making recommendations for improvements. This will be focused on the manufacturing of parts/equipment in and improvement of product quality and customer satisfaction. This position will be on site at our St. Charles, Missouri facility, remote work not available. The Engineering Intern/Co-Op will specialize in and primarily support one of the specialized fields such as Quality, Manufacturing, Process, Electrical, Software, Mechanical, or Chemical engineering.

  • Work closely with operations, quality, and engineering departments to understand equipment/processes.
  • Work on technical projects applying engineering, continuous improvement principles, and ITW’s business model to achieve measurable outcomes in operational efficiency.
  • Analyze and document current processes and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Make recommendations for developing new processes if necessary.
  • Receive ongoing coaching to enhance communication, leadership, and presentation skills.
  • Meet with leadership team to learn about different areas of the business.

Qualifications

Education:  Minimum Completion of 60 Credit hours working towards a degree in the engineering field with GPA of 3.0 or above.

Experience/Skills:

  • Leadership and teamwork capabilities required (extracurricular, academic, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.)
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent Organization and planning skills
  • Self-directed, results-oriented and customer focused.
  • SolidWorks Experience
  • Auto Cad Experience
  • Project Management experience Preferred.
  • Statistical Analysis
  • C++, C, c# .Net, JavaScript, Python, SQL (For Software/Electrical Engineer Intern)
  • Ability to work as part of a team, and independently.
  • have a resourceful, methodical, and logical approach to problem solving.
