Job Description

The Business Analyst is an innovative strategy leader with a strong understanding of procurement and finance functional areas in a manufacturing environment; with the ability to apply that knowledge to implement solutions to accommodate business requirements in a manufacturing environment.

We are looking for a motivated team member with excellent leadership and the ability to build strong relationships. A qualified candidate can effectively translate organizational needs into strategic opportunities, while understanding the effect on a growing global organization. Responsibilities will include deep assessments into business challenges, evaluating new technologies, and defining functional standards. This individual will manage the planning and implementation of projects ensuring policies and procedures are consistent with company goals, best practices, software compliance, and regulatory requirements

This role is based in Glenview, IL, and reports to the Business Solutions Manager.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of purchasing and finance business system processes
  • Industry best practice awareness of technology concepts and architecture patterns
  • Work with vendors and service providers as a liaison for the technical team to select the services and products that meet company requirements
  • Establish and maintain an effective system of communications throughout the organization
  • Determine project schedules and effectively manage the allocation of resources to achieve project objectives
  • Ability to translate technical language into non-technical understanding
  • Work closely with our user community and IT professionals to build consensus and standards that are scalable, adaptable, and flexible to meet the needs of a changing business landscape
  • Comply with audit requirements and execute change management best practices
  • Drive to keep current with evolving technology and apply it to future strategic objectives
  • Ability to deliver solutions with industry leading security and efficiencies that aligns with the Enterprise Agenda
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT Technical, or a related field
  • 3+ years relevant Finance and Purchasing experience
  • 10+ years of experience working in a large, multi-regional, corporate environment
  • Experience with ERP systems, with preference for the Microsoft D365 platform
  • Experience implementing cloud solutions is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong customer support orientation
  • Proven record of meeting commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity
  • Exhibits strong organizational and time management skills with a sense of drive and urgency
  • Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration, and communication abilities
  • Able to travel locally between division facilities ~20% (Bartlett, Elgin, Glenview, Itasca, Lake Forest, and Libertyville, Roselle, IL).
  • Up to 10% travel to manufacturing facilities out of Illinois.
