Job Description
Supervises staff to assemble Fryers, Griddles, Weld, and Charbroiler while expanding skillsets in employee relations, and organizing & monitoring workflow.
- Accomplishes daily production by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising line results.
- Ability to learn hands on assembly
- Monitor work performance, absenteeism, and quality of supervised personnel through coaching, documentation, and written corrective actions
- Understand and enforces production, inventory control, quality, and safety policiesand procedures through counseling and coaching.
- Ability to learn assembly processes, and advise employees on methods, resources to attain established work standards.
- Assists in the recruitment, onboarding, training, and mentoring of new employees.
- Supporting talent development within the plant workforce and crew leads to ensure a strong pipeline for succession planning.
- Maintain workflow and ensure availability of resources and materials.
- Monitor and coach safety practices consistent with corporate direction and policy.
- Maintain housekeeping programs for a safe work environment consistent with corporate direction and policy.
- Interact with other departments to resolve problems that interfere with productivity.
- Review takt times for production lines and balance resources to meet demand.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineers to identify and implement continuous improvement tasks and projects.
- Calculate, review, and distribute daily production efficiencies for all production teams.
- Learn and embrace ITWs toolbox and core values.
- Provide coverage when crew leads are away (sickness, vacation, etc.).
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach and inspire employees.
- Effective communicator with team, stakeholders, and decision makers.
- Proactive problem solver.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a direct and positive manner
- Possesses knowledge of OSHA and its rules and regulations.
- Working knowledge of hand/power tools, sheet metal assembly and concepts of quality assurance.
- Ability to plan, assign, and utilize resources to meet company objectives.
- Ability to respond to changes quickly, calmly, and efficiently.
- Ability to deescalate and resolve conflict between hourly assemblers
- Ability to prioritize workload effectively to meet deadlines
- Hands on approach to leading
- PC Skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
Additional Information
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Office/assembly plant role
- Must be available for overtime as needed.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to sit, bend, stoop, lift, reach and twist to complete all job task
- Must be able to wear all required PPE (i.e., safety glasses, steel/composite toe safety shoes)
- Travel 5%
