Pay Range:  From $21.00 per hour for entry-level and up to $24.00 per hour for very experienced, well-qualified professionals 

Job Profile: Lead Dental Assistant

The Opportunity

This role has the unique opportunity to support the Heroes who actively serve the children and young people in our communities by improving their overall health and well-being.    

You will be responsible for the following: 

  • Provide direct training and development for Dental Assistants
  • Assist in the management of the clinical schedule and back-office flow
  • Provide a high level of chair-side assistance demonstrating a DA Level IV mastery of dental skills 
  • Ensure the practice has adequate supplies to meet patient demands both in the clinical setting and with lab inventory
  • Provide behavior management using guidelines approved by American Academy of pediatric dentistry   
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and patient-centric working environment.
  • Maintain strict compliance with state, federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, employee handbook). 

You will be required to possess the following

  • At least 1 year of previous experience as a dental assistant on pediatric patients 
  • Identify issues and resolve problems in a timely manner; use reason even when dealing with emotional topics
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, listening to patients’ needs, and possess a friendly and outgoing demeanor
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the desire for professional growth
  • Be organized and possess a superior knowledge of dentistry 
  • DANB Certification
