Position Title: Referral Specialist

**Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, 1-2 weekends per month**

The Referral Specialist receives and responds to community, physician, patient and family requests for assistance.  This position records and processes referral and admission information and documents in patient information database.  The Referral Specialist schedules registration and admission visits, prepares preadmission and admission paperwork as well as act as a liaison between patients/families, referral sources, physicians and admission staff.  They will also assist in distribution of admission information and report to primary teams and physicians.

You Have:

• Education – High School or GED Equivalent required; 1-2 years of experience preferred in related healthcare position.
• Experience – Customer service experience required. Word processing/data entry skills. Position requires excellent listening, communication and organizational skills, accurate entry of documentation into patient information database, and ability to handle multiple tasks/calls.
• Energetic team player with ability to "switch gears" as workload requires.

**During the first 90 days, required to be in Gainesville for training purposes.**
