We are currently recruiting for a Senior Vice President of Production for our LIHTC Syndications platform who will report to the Chief Investment Officer of the platform and is a member of the Senior Management Team and the Investment Committee. The role works closely with the other senior executives to coordinate and align the company’s national LIHTC originations strategy with the needs and objectives of its institutional investor clients, as well as the strategy and performance with the company’s overall objectives and goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for cultivating deep developer relationships across the country both individually and via managing a team of other originators in a manner that positions Greystone as the syndicator of choice and produces a robust pipeline of high-quality affordable investment opportunities for investor clients.
  • Work with affordable housing developers to originate, structure and close 9% tax credit, 4% tax-exempt bond, state and historic tax credit, mixed income, and mixed-use projects nationwide.
  • Responsible for preparing comprehensive marketing plans to ensure proactive and sufficient coverage and understanding of state allocation cycles, developer pipelines, and key industry events.
  • Work in conjunction with the investor capital team to ensure a thorough understanding of investor client needs and objectives as it relates to geography/markets, risk/credit parameters, yield thresholds, and ancillary needs such as construction debt and social service/impact opportunities, etc.
  • Ability to effectively cross sell ancillary products from across the company including, but not limited to: agency debt, preservation equity, predevelopment and strategic developer loans, etc.
  • Develop a deep understanding of markets and provide expertise and market knowledge that enables internal and external constituents to better understand the industry and market dynamics for better strategic planning and new product development.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple relationships and projects while balancing internal and external expectations, ensuring exceptional client service and managing key metrics and profitability of the business.
  • Attend industry conferences, state housing agency events, and serve as an industry leading expert representing the company on speaking panels and events across the country.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, real estate, or related field. Master’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the LIHTC industry, with proven track record of success in the origination and syndication of low-income housing tax credit investments.
  • Extensive knowledge of the LIHTC program, tax credit regulations, affordable housing finance, real estate development, and market trends.
  • Strong leadership, management, and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor a diverse team of professionals.
  • A strong desire to win both individually and as part of a team and always strive to exceed client expectations.
