The Senior Vice President of Investment Management - LIHTC Syndications reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer of the LIHTC Syndications platform and is a member of the senior management team and the Investment Committee. The role works closely with the CEO, CCO, CIO and other senior executives of the platform to coordinate and align Investor investment strategy and performance with the company’s overall objectives of the investor clients and that of the company’s objectives and goals.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the Asset Management, Fund Management and client reporting activities for all LIHTC investments nationwide.
- Manage a team of asset managers and portfolio managers and provide guidance and support on all aspects of LIHTC asset management and investor reporting.
- Monitor the performance and compliance of LIHTC properties and ensure that they meet the goals and requirements of investors, developers, and regulatory agencies.
- Develop and implement asset management policies and procedures, including risk management, reporting, budgeting, and portfolio optimization.
- Prepare and review financial, asset management, and investment reports and provide recommendations to senior management and investors.
- Research and analyze market trends, economic conditions, and investment opportunities and advise on disposition strategies.
- Coordinate with legal counsel, accounting, underwriting, development, and other departments on LIHTC transactions and issues.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with investors, developers, syndicators, property managers, and other industry partners.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences and promote the company’s mission.
- Oversee, prepare, or assist with internal and external reporting and processing, including occupancy, property valuations, insurance, property taxes, and cash management exercises.
- Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), compile monthly performance reports, analyze results, and use property information to guide the portfolio toward key objectives.
- Implement proactive strategies to identify and resolve operational, financial, and compliance issues and concerns.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, real estate, or related field. Master’s degree or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the LIHTC industry, with proven track record of success in syndication, underwriting, asset management, investor relations, fund management, and dispositions.
- Extensive knowledge of the LIHTC program, tax credit regulations, affordable housing finance, real estate development, and market trends.
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor a diverse team of professionals.
