Gratiot County Commission on Aging is searching for a part-time Head Cook. We are committed to providing high-quality meals and a welcoming environment for our senior citizens. We’re looking for a talented and reliable Head Cook to join our kitchen team on a part-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and cook menu items in accordance with food safety standards.
• Maintain food quality, portion control, and presentation
• Oversee kitchen operations, including food prep, inventory, and ordering supplies
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
• Collaborate with management on menu planning and specials
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook or chef; leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen safety, and sanitation practices
• Ability to manage time efficiently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• ServSafe certification or equivalent (preferred)
