About the Position:

Department: Service

Reports to: Central Service Dispatcher

Supervises: Central Setup Lead Technicians

Purpose:

Manages the flow of work through the central setup department from sales interactions through setup and predelivery completion and invoicing. Works with lead setup technicians to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with the products setup by central setup department, and a high level of efficiency in the completion of setup.

Responsibilities:

·Manages the entire work order cycle process; generation through closing and invoicing for setup work orders generated by central setup department.

·Maintains a minimum of a 3-day billing cycle.

·Utilizes a scheduling tool to assign and prioritize setup workload based on availability and priority.

·Works with Central Service Manager and Lead Setup Mechanics to identify and execute continuous process improvements.

·Works with sales and parts departments to ensure equipment, bundles and parts are available to setup mechanics when equipment is scheduled to be setup.

·Works with managers and personal in locations to maintain a high level of cooperation and satisfaction.

·Communicates, enforces, and monitors effective central setup department processes to ensure satisfaction of stakeholders.

·Assists with development and training of setup mechanics.

·May prepare setup technician labor performance, productivity, and efficiency reports.

·Reviews work orders for completeness and accuracy prior to internal billing.

·Ensures all service Warranty and Product Improvement Programs that are encountered in the setup process are completed and submitted to the warranty administrator within the required timeframe to receive maximum credit.

·May participate in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.

·Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities.

·Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.

·Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.

·Develops and maintains knowledge of John Deere and short line products sold by Gooseneck Implement

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

·Experience working in a service department is preferred.

·Experience in the agricultural, off road, construction, lawn, heavy equipment, or automotive industry is preferred.

·Experience with basic computer functions.

·Experience working cooperatively in a team environment.

·Experience communicating effectively.

·Experience analyzing and interpreting internal reports.

·High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; Associate degree preferred.

·Must have strong organizational skills.
