Position Description

Pay: $110k - $120k

This Full Time job is eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, Long Term Disability, Short Term Disability, Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Flexible Spending Accounts and several voluntary supplemental benefit offerings.  In addition, this position is eligible for paid time off in the form of vacation, sick, holiday, floating holiday, jury duty and bereavement leave.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; evenings/weekends

OBJECTIVE:

The Director of e-Commerce plans, coordinates, and supervises all activities related to the design, development, implementation, and department performance of the e-Commerce business for Goodwill. This position works with brand marketing, outside vendors, product development, and drives inventory management to create plans, strategies, and tactics that will drive online revenue, conversion, and customer satisfaction. In addition, this role is responsible for managing and expanding the revenue and customer base of Goodwill's move management program "Things Forgotten Not Gone" (TFNG), to include responsibility for all aspects and functions of the business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a similar concentration preferred. 

Experience: Minimum ten years proven and progressive management experience in retail and thrift.  Minimum of 5 years leading an e-Commerce operation. 

Other: Advanced experience working with computer systems such as Microsoft Office preferred. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to present at a Board level, offering and exchanging information with others, so intended meaning is clear and understood. Must demonstrate the ability to interact with various internal and external customers and manage multiple projects. Must be able to successfully complete work assignments independently and as a team member. Must demonstrate flexibility and agility within the framework and pressure of established deadlines. Must be detail oriented, able to learn specific rules, regulations, and standards to maintain compliance and conformance. Must have the ability to multi-task, be organized and possess strong time management skills. Must be neat and professional, always representing Goodwill in the best light. Must have proven ability to evaluate, recommend, and apply e-commerce/retail industry best practices within thrift industry operations to create an elevated, seamless customer experience. Must have strong analytical skills and be data-driven and results-oriented. A strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and benchmarking performance is essential. Must have A valid Colorado driver’s license. 

Per contract requirements with vehicle insurance provider: Qualified candidates must be 21 years of age and have no major traffic violations for previous 3 years (for driving/insurance purposes). Must have reliable transportation; must also be able to operate company vehicle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:

• Provides leadership, training, and support to e-Commerce management and staff in all areas of e-Commerce operations including, but not limited to, recognizing, troubleshooting, and correcting photography, listing, warehousing, shipping, and process problems. Performs root cause analysis on related issues and implements solutions. 

• Directs e-Commerce operations with an eye on continuously improving the entire system from product identification at retail centers, to the logistics of product movement, through listing and sales.

• Implements Goodwill’s donation strategy for high value donations to feed e-Commerce operations.

• Emphasis on marketing, developing sustainable partnerships, and acquiring business from multiple sources for TFNG that reach beyond the senior community.

• Meet and exceed service revenue and control expenses for TFNG; expand service in the Pikes Peak region and plan for expansion into Denver Area.

• Collaborates with Marketing department, Chief Operating Officer, and Retail leadership to create brand awareness and expanded customer reach.

• Assists in the development of the overall e-Commerce marketing plans – help define tactics and programs for establishing and expanding an e-Commerce brand across multiple marketplaces and sites.

• Manages the front-end website experience, category strategy, landing pages, product assortment, pricing, and overall merchandising mix.

• Tracks and evaluates site user behavior; implements changes to improve user experience and sales conversion.

• Reviews and analyzes existing sales platform and other system effectiveness and efficiency; develops plans for improving and leveraging these systems.

• Researches new market trends and to e-Commerce best practices and recommends strategy adjustments.

• Uses proactive leadership; establishes KPIs, dashboards and SOPs to identify issues and opportunities in real time.

• Prioritizes team building, communication and engagement while applying lessons learned from feedback and focus groups.

• Regularly reports to senior management team on performance versus goals.

• Manages the implementation of safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.

• Complies with all CARF requirements. 

• Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.
