Salary Rate: $90,000 - $114,000/yr (depending on experience)

Qualifications:

  • Education: Licensed physician, registered nurse, social worker, or a Bachelor's degree with at least three years of documented success in the relevant field.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Current RN license required, with a preference for candidates with executive director-level hospice leadership experience.
    • Current CPR certification is required for those providing direct patient services.
    • Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years in healthcare and five years in a leadership role, preferably within a hospice or similar setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proven business development and growth capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of goals for hospice services, ensuring alignment with organizational mission and patient care standards.
  • Oversee daily operations, including staff management, budget maintenance, and compliance with healthcare regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Recruit, hire, and mentor qualified staff, fostering a culture of excellence and compassion.
  • Ensure effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Monitor hospice census and staffing patterns to ensure adequate resource allocation and service delivery.
  • Manage financial operations, including budgeting, billing, and financial reporting.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
