Position Overview:
An urgent care facility in the Bronx is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality care for acute conditions and injuries. This position offers flexible scheduling options and requires at least 6 months of urgent care or emergency medicine experience.

Qualifications:
- Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited NP program.
- Licensure: Active New York State NP License (Required).
- Certification: Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner (Required).
- Experience: Minimum 6 months in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in urgent care procedures, diagnostic testing, wound care, and electronic health records.
- Soft Skills: Excellent decision-making, ability to work under pressure, strong communication, and empathy for patients in acute distress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement treatment plans that are appropriate for each patient’s condition or illness
- Conduct physical examinations and tests to diagnose conditions, infections, disease processes, etc.
- Provide advice to patients about health maintenance, hygiene practices, diet modification, medication use, etc.
- Perform diagnostic tests, such as wound culture, urinalysis, and blood tests
- Treat minor wounds, cuts, and other injuries using sterile techniques to prevent infection
- Provide educational services to patients regarding their illness or injury
- Order diagnostic tests, such as X-rays or laboratory tests, to help determine the cause of an injury or illness
- Communicate with other healthcare team members to discuss patient care plans
- Provide counseling services to patients with behavioral health problems
