We are seeking an Acquisitions & Asset Management Summer Intern to join our team from May-August 2024. Consideration will be given to rising juniors, seniors or master’s degree candidates pursuing a degree in Finance or related field. This is a great opportunity for driven individuals to gain meaningful experience in the field of Property Management while working closely with our Acquisitions and Asset Management teams. The Acquisitions & Asset Management Intern will be exposed to many aspects of our day-to-day business operations and given the opportunity to play an important role in the future of the company.

Job Responsibilities and Related Duties:

  • Perform in depth financial analysis for new acquisitions which include preparing underwriting models
  • Prepare narratives relative to potential acquisitions and present them to lenders, brokers, & investors.
  • Prepare market and submarket narratives
  • Prepare, analyze, and develop financial reports for planning, forecasting, trending, and variance analysis to actual results on business performance.
  • Provide data regarding achievement of financial objectives and analyze business issues and opportunities.
  • Track and monitor assets that are up for sale in a defined geographic area.
  • Perform site inspections for future acquisitions.
  • Perform analysis of individual assets in our existing portfolio.
  • Review and analyze property operating statements
  • Conduct primary and secondary market research on current assets and future assets.

Job Requirements:

  • A rising junior, senior or master’s degree candidate pursuing a degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related field.
  • Ability to accurately understand the scope of assigned projects, goals, and requirements through meetings, note taking and asking questions.
  • Knowledge of finance principles and the ability to analyze information.
  • Previous work experience with a commercial real estate brokerage is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills- interpersonal and written.
  • Strong sense of professionalism.
  • Organized, self-starter with a positive attitude.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other MS Office products.
  • Experience in preparing visual marketing materials is a plus.
