SUMMARY:

The person in this position provides oversight, coaching and subject knowledge of the Crew Calling Department, and further provides training and administrative control for PS Technology’s CrewPro Shortline software.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Create and administer department schedule

·Manage team, overseeing training, discipline, and accountability of department as a whole

·Cover crew calling desks

·Ensure compliance with class 1 partners for electronic network access

·Support the operation of train and engine crew management, including crew lodging, transportation, job assignments, and manpower balancing, etc., to ensure that train positions are filled to operate the railroad in a safe and efficient manner

·Ensure FRA HOS discrepancies are documented

·Provide training and field support for ongoing CrewPro rollouts

·Execute continuous updates and database changes in CrewPro

·Provide frontline support for PST system outages and develop / employ strategies to eliminate downtime

·Assist G&W Service & Design with implementation of applications to facilitate electronic information sharing

·Ensure immediate supervisor is well informed of activities and recommend corrective actions when applicable

·Manage other projects and perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

·Working knowledge of day-to-day railroad operations and practices  · Ability to analyze and translate business needs to vendors and internal cost centers, as well as provide feedback and support to achieve results and compliance

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR CREDENTIALS:

·Bachelor’s degree and previous departmental supervisory experience

·Ten years industry experience
