The Ideal Candidate

This position collaborates with the Apparel and Accessories Design & Development team to manage all production support and logistic functions for Johnston & Murphy apparel and accessories. This includes system set-up, order writing, tracking, logistics coordination and other production management as needed.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Oversees all sku creation and system set-up for Johnston & Murphy apparel and accessories to include PIM and ERP system set-up and order flow. Insures consistency for naming and system set-up parameters.
  • Attends adoption and approval meetings and partners with design/development teams to understand categories and vendor programs and monitor communication flow with vendors for upcoming and current order placement.
  • Manages placement of orders with cross-functional merchandising, development and inventory management teams to ensure accuracy of orders and tracking of WIP and production from hand-off to final deliveries. Manages communication with vendors for all aspects of order placement and tracking and keeps internal teams and systems updated in real time.
  • Creates and distributes production status reports and follows up with vendors, factories and design/development/merchandising teams as needed.
  • Coordinates with GCO logistics and import teams for management of shipping and customs clearance including assignment and approval of shipping methods based on target deliveries.
  • Manages set-up and compliance for new factories/vendors.
  • Manages labeling and packaging for all apparel and accessory categories including management of relationship with Avery Dennison for creation and order management, development of new packaging needs, assigning packaging by style/category, and coordinating efficient inner and outer carton details.

Experience and Skills You'll Need to Have

  • College degree in supply chain, production planning, merchandising, engineering or related field.
  • 5-7 years of related experience.
  • Extensive experience in supply chain or production planning for a relevant categories.
  • Superior knowledge of PIM, ERP or inventory management systems.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Excel.
  • Strong organization, project management and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
