Job Purpose
The Senior Linux Administrator who will be responsible for designing, modifying, and monitoring the infrastructure.

Essential Functions

• The Linux System Administrator will have a broad awareness of UNIX/Linux operating systems, and typical associated products that run on these Operating Systems.
• Experience in maintaining SLES and/or CENTOS/RHEL environments.
• The candidate should have experience with interpreting direction from vendors (SUSE, Red Hat, Dell, HP, etc.) and provide clearly documented awareness of all steps to be taken in order to successfully perform patching updates, reboot and migration.
• A seasoned, experienced professional having a wide range of professional experience and possessing a strong understanding of both system and Linux and Unix concepts, principles, and theories and expert at applying technical standards and methodologies to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways
• Shows initiative on assignments, and professionally executes projects as a technical lead with little or no direction, frequently provides direction and leadership to technical teams and determines methods and procedures
• Strong ability to handle significant responsibility, leadership and accountability while executing very complex assignments
• Skilled in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions; someone who is capable of providing technical leadership to an organization.
• Lead a variety of infrastructure efforts.
• Support development of deployment strategies.
• Ensure project related deliverables adhere to policy and meet requirements
• Focused on optimization within the environments
• Installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as Apache, MySQL, LDAP

Required Experience and Education

• 3-5 Years of Linux experience
• Capable of interpreting vulnerability reports and defining executable actions that should be taken to reduce vulnerabilities and risk with proven ability to perform in-depth analysis on patch requirements, migrations in UNIX/Linux environments, and build an action plan that will address vulnerabilities.
• Secret Security Clearance
• Security+ CE
• Familiarity with VMWare and SAN management and concepts
