Our business is booming, and we're in need of more great team members! Furnitureland South, the world's largest furniture store, is seeking energetic, people-oriented, organized professionals to join our East Coast Home Delivery team.

Full Class B or Class A CDL required.

*Regional Home Delivery opportunity. Travel is required for this position. Home Delivery Drivers should expect to travel out of town overnight at least 2 times per week.*

The position involves working with a team member to load, transport and deliver/set up home furnishings in customers' homes. The qualified candidate will need to have excellent communication and customer service skills, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift 150 lbs.

Potential to earn $65,000+ per year. Hours vary and overnight stays are required. Every other weekend off and NO Sundays!

  1. Verify load contents for piece count.
  2.  Confirm that furniture is of manufacturer’s quality.
  3.  Unload, set-up, assemble, and touch up furniture in customer’s home.
  4.  Obtain signatures and collect the COD to complete the delivery.
  5.  Keep FLS truck clean and in good working condition.
  6.  Maintain compliance with all DMV/DOT driver regulations and required logs.
  7. Arrive punctually and consistently to work for normally scheduled hours.

Working conditions

This job operates in a professional environment. This role routinely uses dolly’s or hand trucks while loading or unloading the commercial vehicle, standard office equipment such as computers, photocopiers and smartphones. Commercial truck drivers operate tractor-trailers and other large vehicles to transport cargo over various distances. While some may work in a local area making deliveries to residences, others may travel long distances. In order to perform this type of work, a person must be able to obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL). Training programs are available to teach operators how to drive large trucks and to prepare them for the CDL test.
