Job purpose

The Human Resources Intern will be a highly motivated individual pursuing a degree in Human Resources, or a related field. The HR intern would be working within various disciplines of HR while gaining hands-on experience working on challenging and meaningful projects with guidance from a mentor and other members of the team.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Assist in the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and coordinating interviews.
  2. Participate in onboarding activities for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
  3. Support HR administrative tasks, such as maintaining employee records and updating HR databases.
  4. Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and events.
  5. Assist in organizing and conducting training sessions for employees.
  6. Collaborate with HR team members on various projects and initiatives.
  7. Respond to employee inquiries and provide basic HR-related information.
  8. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive HR information.
  9. Explore opportunities to integrate Artificial Intelligence technologies into our HR administration.
  10. Other duties as assigned.
  11. Onsite position.

Required Education and Experience

Enrolled in a four-year college/university pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  1. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Working conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers and smartphones.

Physical requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
