Functional Pathways, a national provider of rehabilitation services, is hiring a CNA for a Restorative Nursing Assistant position at Azalealand Nursing Home in Savannah, GA. Join our dynamic therapy team in providing skilled and restorative care.
Friday- Saturday Schedule
This position reports to the Director of Rehabilitation so that means you will NOT be pulled to the floor! This role is dedicated to restorative and will assist in the capacity of rehabilitation tech if needed. Restorative experience preferred but not required. The Part-time Restorative Nursing Aide will provide resident-centered care utilizing the Therapy or Nursing Plan of Care and will report directly to the Director of Rehabilitation, under the supervision of a facility Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities:
1. Provides direct restorative nursing care as assigned, completing work accurately, safely, and efficiently. Specific care includes passive and active ROM, ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility training, positioning, splinting, feeding, bathing and grooming, bowel and bladder training/management, and other programs that help to facilitate and maintain the resident at his/her highest functional level.
2. Receives specific instructions from the restorative manager and/or formalized therapies when the functions are beyond the basic restorative nursing scope and receive supervision for these tasks from the indicated formalized therapy discipline.
3. Receives specific instruction from nursing on restorative nursing techniques
via a restorative nursing program with all new program being assigned.
4. Follows policies and procedures as set by nursing/facility administration and Functional Pathways.
5. Attends care planning conferences as needed and provides input into development of individualized plan of restorative care as requested.
6. Notifies restorative manager and Director of Rehab of any change in resident status, including progress, regression, or refusal so that an assessment can be completed by nurses and changes in the program and care plan can be conducted.
7. Documents the progress of residents by completing flow sheets daily to
signify that the specified restorative nursing interventions were completed or in the Electronic Medical Records System.
8. Attends and participates in routine Restorative Nursing meetings as requested.
9. Attends all education as required by facility and Functional Pathways.
10. Maintains acceptable results for all competencies required by nursing and Functional Pathways for safe and knowledgeable delivery of restorative nursing programs.
11. May also be required to perform Rehab Assistant duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Has knowledge and interest in the care of older adults.
- Has knowledge and skills in basic Restorative Nursing principles and practices.
- Has the ability to work as a team member and within a team environment.
- Two years of clinical CNA experience. Preference given to those with training and experience in restorative nursing.
- Ability to professionally communicate verbally and in writing.
- Entry-level computer/ mobile device proficiency.
- Comfortably uses CNA Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation system.
