This Full-time opportunity will work 72 hours in a bi-weekly period.
Will work varied 12 hour day shifts, including weekends

This position is responsible for the evaluation and provisional diagnosis of patients seeking mental health / behavioral treatment in the Emergency Department and will:
- Perform initial screening and mental health evaluations in the Emergency Department
- Collaborating with psychiatric providers to determine appropriate dispositions for evaluated / assessed patients
- Obtaining pre-authorizations and initial insurance for patient admissions and outpatient services as needed
- Facilitates ED to BHU / Inpatient admissions and ED to other facilities’ transfer / admissions to include Outpatient Services
- Accurately complete required documentations and assessment findings in a timely manner
- Comfortable working with patients of all ages
Qualification:
Proficient knowledge and ability to perform mental health assessments, and to provide initial impression for provisional diagnosis. Must possess a working knowledge of DSM-V and knowledge of patients’ rights and laws pertaining to mental health. Possess psychiatric Clinician Experience or crisis experience in an outpatient setting or at least one year of related internship experience. Empathetic toward individuals with complex health needs and their families. Strong communication, writing and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and maintaining professionalism. Excellent time management skills and ability to problem solve and exercise good judgment.
Education:
Master of Social Work or related field (REQUIRED)
Licenses & Certifications:
PREFERRED || LCSW-C or LCPC or PsyD
REQUIRED || LMSW or LGPC
BLS/CPR Certification required
