Catering Cook
Farmers Restaurant Group is seeking a Catering Line Cook to join our Founding Farmers Co. Catering & Events team. We are looking for a candidate who exemplifies a passion for scratch cooking and catering and events and wants to be part of growing an evolving brand. In this role, the Catering Line Cook will partner with our Catering Chef and report directly to the Managing Partner of Catering.
Hourly Pay Rate: $17/HR

WHAT OUR CATERING LINE COOKS DO:
- Prepare food items, following standard recipes and procedures within a specified time
- Read prep list and prep items, as assigned
- Properly measure and assemble ingredients required to accurately follow recipe or instructions
- Clean, organize, stock, and maintain work area, walk-in refrigerator, reach-in refrigerator, cooler drawers, prep, and dry storage area, which may include bending, reaching, stooping, lifting, and working with cleaning agents
- Rinse and cut raw food products
- Are punctual and able to observe regular and consistent attendance
- Contribute to a positive team environment
- Move food in and out of industrial ovens and cook over an open flame
- Taste, smell, and view food to ensure adherence to quality standards
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE A CATERING LINE COOK:
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen or catering preferred
- Passion for hospitality and food
- Previous catering, banquet and/or buffet experience preferred
- Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced, loud environment
- High level of professionalism
- Able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Able to read and follow a recipe to standards
- Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more a day in a confined area with fluctuating temperatures
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, as needed
- Continuous bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, and use of hands and arms
- May be exposed to allergens, such as nuts, seeds, soy, shellfish, and dairy
- Reliable transportation to 8100 Cryden Way, District Heights, MD
