Machinery General Line Sales Manager– Piscataway, NJ

Department: Machinery Sales

Responsibilities

• Promote PINS and Profit after Direct expense targets.
• Achieve budgeted Return on Assets.
• Develop and grow the skills and recognize the success of myself and the members of the sales team.
• Manage sales representative to optimum performance to manage their assign territories for awareness, pins and profit for growth and success.
• Maximize the efficiency of sales representative and maintain accurate position descriptions for sales team.
• Perform annual reviews with sales team with follow up meetings to promote constant improvement.
• Maintain training updates for self and other sales team members and continue sales management reinforcement of the use of employee development resources.
• Provide backup ability for all sales division functions.
• Through effective leadership, contribute to the planning and implementation of organizational, divisional, and departmental strategic initiatives.
• Process owner and lead sales manager Six Sigma projects.
• Enhance communication between sales department and service department.
• Seek other profitable market opportunities.
• Work with operating statements to find ways to cut costs and increase internal profit.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management is preferred.
• Minimum 6-8 years’ sales experience in the heavy equipment industry with progressive supervisory experience and/or equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; both verbal and written.
• Strong project management, time management, team building and leadership skills; ability to work independently and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and position related software.
