The chosen candidate would be responsible for coordinating team efforts, overseeing shipment processes and act as a point of contact for the shipping leadership.

Purpose:Work with shipping manager to direct activities of small teams and delegate work appropriately to ensure customer satisfaction.

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma and 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a shipping environment 
  • Proficient skills in all shipping team member responsibilities
  • Proven track record of leadership skills 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Lift up to 45 lbs. floor to shoulder
  • Stand all day, some opportunity to sit
  • Push maximum of 100 lbs 30 feet
  • Trunk Rotation 45 degrees from midline both directions
  • Reach greater than 18 inches from midline both directions


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the assignment of duties, to adhere to the needs of the team 
  • Understand and utilize shipping reports, and back order reports
  • Advise orders for shipping and un-advise when necessary.
  • Communicate with Customer Service as needed regarding things such as but not limited to order status, dating out lines, correcting terms, etc. so orders can print.
  • Communicate with feed department leads or designated people from department regarding material needs.
  • Coordinate with carriers, logistics companies, etc., required to ship something outside of the normal UPS/FedEx/UTS systems.
  • Report on missed orders to assistant lead or lead prior to missed order meeting in AM next day.
