Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree- Accounting/Finance, Mathematics, Health Administration or Related Area of Study
- A minimum of 3 years of accounting or finance experience.
Preferences:
3-5 years of Healthcare Finance experience.
Experience in cost report preparation and review.
Intermediate to Advanced Excel skill level.
- Prepare month-end contractual and reserve journal entries, including support data, work papers and analyses.
- Work on special projects/assignments concerning reimbursement and other projects as assigned.
- Review monthly variance analysis, trends affecting budget needs, and play a major role in the annual budgeting process.
- Must maintain a high degree of knowledge on changes to the cost report or the process and data required to successfully complete.
- Maintain knowledge on the ever changing reimbursement environment with a focus on government payers.
- Work on analytic projects that identify the overall global impact as well as the detailed components of such changes. Such analytics will occur at the system, facility, service line, or more granular level as requested under the direction of the Manager of Financial Planning.
