Epsilon C5I (www.epsilonsystems.com/c5i), focused on software development and systems engineering for complex command, control, intelligence and combat systems, is seeking a TS/SCI-cleared software engineer with 2-6 years’ experience for work in San Diego, CA supporting a complex C4ISR software system. Our engineering efforts provide the warfighter with tools that simulate and stimulate the operational environment to improve system operational capabilities. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement software for our customers.
  • Write well designed, testable and efficient code that meets technical requirements.
  • Participate in a highly collaborative team environment, contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle using Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting of code defects and deployment of timely fixes.
  • Deliver projects on time and with attention to quality.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Two to six (2-6) years of experience to include Software Design, Development, Test, and Evaluation.
  • Current TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Hands on experience with Java, J2EE, Servlets, and Javascript.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of business users and management.
  • Ability to work individually and on team projects in an environment of teamwork and cooperation.
  • Effective written, oral, and presentation skills.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Web UI development experience using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Experience using Javascript frameworks and libraries, including AngularJS, Bootstrap, NodeJS, JQuery, etc.
  • An affinity towards creating responsive/reactive web applications that adhere to a standard look and feel.
  • Experience with web-based mapping APIs such OpenLayers.
  • RESTful API consumption and design (Build & consume services).
  • Experience with Maven, JBoss, Tomcat, Virtual Machines, and Containers.
  • Experience with Agile, SCRUM.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of relational database technologies and database management systems (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
  • Experience with SOAP, WSDL, XML/XSD/XSL, and JSON.

Pay Range:

The pay range for this role is $100,000 to $145,000 annually. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

  • Regular communication (hearing/speaking).
  • Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy.
  • Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding).
  • Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, and may occasionally lift and move at least 25 pounds.
  • Ability to travel by car, air or other means of transportation, if required.
