Job Description

EBAD seeks a proven leader for the position of Production Supervisor. This position is located in Graham, KY and will report to the Value Stream Manager.

Responsibilities:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning and executing daily production activities required to support customer programs. This position coordinates with the Production Manager and technicians to complete the tasks associated with product manufacturing and testing.

Principal duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Drives cross-training efforts to continuously develop and strengthen operator resources and capabilities.

  • Works closely with Product Engineers and Development Engineers to ensure feedback with regards to flow of operations and process accuracy is given for Manufacturing Instructions and Assembly Drawings.

  • Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.

  • Act as Kaizen champion for the team, ensures standard work Kaizen results are sustained.  Strive for one-piece flow manufacturing.

  • Ensure the production metrics are being maintained and accurately reported on a timely basis

  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.

  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

  • Ensures Kanban materials for the shop floor are ordered/replenished as necessary to maintain production flow.

  • Ensures calibrated tools/equipment are returned to calibration on a timely basis.

  • Directs the production floor technicians on daily work

  • Promotes high morale, teamwork and a positive work environment.

  • Ensures all production support documents are maintained and updated according to company policy to include key performance indicators, production reports, training procedures and records.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in aerospace production manufacturing and include a minimum of 1 to 3 years experience in the supervision of production staff.

  • A.S. degree in a technical discipline

  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and assignments.

  • Demonstrated expertise in all areas of responsibility.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively, verbally and in writing, to individuals at all levels and to cross-functional groups.

  • Good working knowledge of computer applications such as ERP/MRP, proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word.

  • Ability to motivate people, particularly in a production workforce environment

  • LEAN Manufacturing concept implementation experience preferred

  • Candidates must meet all requirements under BATFE and ITAR.
