Job Title: Tiger Team Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician (DIA TT) ( $1000 Sign on Bonus for New Hires)
Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a Maintenance Mechanic Electrician at the Defense Intelligence Agency building located on Bolling AFB SE Washington DC. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs maintenance and repairs to all electrical equipment as it pertains to his/hers trade under the direct super vision of the EMCOR Tiger Team PM. Work involves most of the following:
- Electrical Construction and repair, To include, Roughing in electrical work, Running electrical circuits, wiring and cables, digging trenches, bending conduit, working in ceiling’s, Examining electrical equipment to diagnose source of trouble and make repairs, must be able to source out electrical parts and materials as needed and provide quotes, part numbers etc. to the Tiger team PM so that materials can be ordered.
- Other electrical duties to include but not limited to, the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. Work involves but not limited to, electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, Must be able to work through blue prints, drawings, layouts etc.
- Must also entertain all other duties that may not necessarily pertain to the electrical trade to provide help and assistance to the other members of the Tiger Team. This could mean assisting other Team Members with carrying out the roles of their assigned trades meet project deadlines.
- Must also perform all other duties assigned by the Facilities branch at DIA that may not particularly pertain to ones assigned trade.
- Work may also involve the following duties: replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors; using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings; repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets; painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks; replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles; hanging doors and installing door locks; replacing broken window panes; replacing ceiling tiles; and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a Top Secret security clearance

Journeyman’s License in Electrical
- Candidate must have 3-6 years of experience in the maintenance of commercial or government facilities
- High school diploma or GED
- Must have driver license
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Ability to work and communicate professionally in occupied space environments with a variety of customers.
