Major Duties:

  1. Monitors processes, procedures, and operating conditions in the by daily, weekly, monthly, and annual inspections/audits as necessary to comply with Local, State and Federal regulations.
  2. Monitor plant compliance to align with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
  3. Submitting reports and recommendations to plant management.
  4. Plan, schedule, and conduct Safety Orientation for all new employees, as well as on-going training.
  5. Assist supervisors in the investigation of all near misses and incidents.
  6. Ensures proper incident reporting into the ACTS system.
  7. Implement and reinforce a culture focused on sustaining positive behaviors in achieving Goal Zero.
  8. Review the sites Behavior Based Safety Dashboard, monitor trends to improve safety compliance.
  9. Maintain the sites incident reports and related documents, training records, written testing, and inspection records.
  10. Keep required posting current such as OHSA 300/300A logs,
  11. Assist HR with worker’s comp claims and on-site Substance Abuse program testing.
  12. Monitor and review results of yearly health testing of employees.
  13. Environment testing, manifesting, and reporting as related to hazardous and or nonhazardous solid waste and wastewater systems including but not limited to EPRCA, TIER 2, RCRA, PPP, NPDES, SWPPP, SPCC. 

Qualifications:

H.S. diploma, HSE trade certifications, or Associates Degree preferred with a minimum of two years of experience in an HSE related role with working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations. Communication skills written and verbal, with computer proficiency. Working Conditions include office and shop type environments involving walking, climbing, lifting, and standing capabilities.
