Job Title: Junior Engineer 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering design project planning (i.e., conceptual design through construction drawing development)
• Complete code required energy compliance and LEED certifications
• Conduct load calculations, energy analysis, economic analysis, design and layout of equipment, duct and piping system design
• Complete applications engineering including psychometrics, refrigeration, acoustics, and controls systems
• Assist with coordination of design and installation with Project Management, Applied, Retrofit, Refrigeration, Automation, and Service departments
• Field engineering: assist with project execution, site surveys, trade coordination, scheduling, document management and problem solving
• Some 2D drafting of mechanical systems utilizing the latest AutoCAD software
• Assist or complete project estimating, proposal writing, and client interaction
• Other duties as assigned by Manager or Executive(s)

Job Specifications: (incl. Education requirements, minimal experience, computer skills required, etc.)

• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• EIT and desire to obtain a PE license a plus
• Experience with HVAC and/or Plumbing Engineering design a plus
• Excellent understanding of Engineering fundamentals
• Working knowledge of the California Codes a plus
• Some proficiency in AutoCAD; 3D modeling experience a plus
• Ability to interact effectively with others in team environments
• High sense of integrity
• Leadership skills a plus
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Self-starter and strong desire to succeed
• Individual must be a responsible person, able to multi-task and regular attendance is required.  Some overtime may be required to meet deadlines.
