Job Title:  Cash Application Clerk

Provide administrative support to the Accounting and Billing departments that includes general clerical and financial functions.

 Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
  • Pickup checks from PO Box daily.
  • Maintain cash receipts log.
  • Code all checks, credit card and ACH payments.
  • Identifying any missed revenue by reconciling payment detail to determine discrepancies and communicating these to accounting.
  • Identify any issues with billing.
  • Contact customers by phone and email for payment refunds for overpayments and process refund paperwork.
  • Reconcile exchange spreadsheet.
  • Backup for bank deposits.
  • Backup for check scan deposits.

Qualifications:

 Education / Work Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 2+ years of administrative or clerical experience is required.
  • Experience performing light accounting work is a plus.
  • Experience working in a construction industry is a plus.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (i.e., Word, and particularly Excel).
