$3,000 Sign-on Bonus
Our Respite Nurse candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and will have 3 years experience working with people with severe and persistent mental illnesses. This person will provide oversight, guidance and assistance to clients in understanding their medical conditions; as well as performing any appropriate direct medical care that is needed. This is a 8 bed Respite located in Wakefield, MA.
Responsibilities:
- Provide education and consultation to consumers and staff regarding medical health, medication and medical topics.
- Provide 1:1 training in specific individualized need areas.
- Develop and conduct groups and trainings for consumers and staff in general areas of health and wellness including nutrition, exercise, smoking cessation.
- Assist consumers with accessing community resources that will support and assist with addressing needs and health wellness efforts.
- Provide oversight, guidance and assistance to consumers with understanding their medical conditions.
- Meet with consumers and staff to discuss any medical diagnoses and conditions, causes, symptoms, complications, and treatment options.
- Perform direct medical care for a consumer as appropriate and ordered by physician which may include monitoring of vitals, wound care, etc. This includes providing interventions specific to consumer IAP for medical/health and wellness goal areas.
- Review all medical documentation for each consumer at respite and as assigned and provide medical care consultation and coordination as needed.
- Provide assistance coordinating overall medical care for consumers and ensuring medical follow up is done as needed.
- Provide interventions to consumers that focus on education and skills training in relation to health and wellness issues. Assist the team and consumers by providing methods for on-going assessment of symptoms and treatment effectiveness and identify appropriate responses/actions.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-4pm, no weekend, no holidays
Salary:
LPN-$60,000./ annually
RN-$74,680.00/ annually
