Field Service Technician

Compensation: 23.00-24.00 /

Our client, a nationwide manufacturer of commercial landscaping products, has an immediate need for an experienced Field Service Technician, to join their winning team in Fort Myers.

Our candidate of choice will be responsible for servicing and maintaining high-end irrigation pump stations and water management products across the state of Florida.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with hand/power tools and computers to service and maintain high end irrigation pump stations including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems (VFDs, PLCs, pumps/motors).
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems using precise measuring and testing equipment and utilizing electrical schematics.
• Communicate clearly with Customers and our Service Department. Lead active inquiries with Customers, relating to their challenges/problems and needs. Explain technical issues, work performed, and recommendations for additional scope of work required.
• Travel daily to customer sites in a fully stocked van. Must record and maintain appropriate van inventory levels.
• Complete digital Work Orders on site including supporting information (pictures, measurements).
• Utilize our remote monitoring software to diagnose issues proactively.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Drug free workplace
• Ability to pass a background check (criminal history, DMV, credit)
• At least 1 year+ experience working with mechanical or electrical equipment (ex: automotive, electronics, computers, etc.)
• Must have own basic/small hand tools and clean driving record
• Tolerant of outdoors in hot Florida climate
• Diving certification is a plus
