Provide quality care to patients under the direction of Medical Director in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of El Paso Children’s Hospital. Reports to the charge nurse for shift assignments and direction of shift duties assigned. Each RN decides on a case-by-case basis what nursing tasks may be delegated to unlicensed personnel in accordance with Rule 224 Texas Board of Nursing (relating to RN delegation in acute care settings or for patients with acute conditions).
- Competent in clinical skills required of Paramedic.

- Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.
- Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient, family, internal and external partner needs.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
A. Work Experience
One year of paramedic experience.
B. Education and Training
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion from an accredited Paramedic Program.
C. License/Registration/Certification
- Current National or Texas Paramedic license.
- Current CPR training.
- Current ACLS and PALS.
- Certification and licenses must be renewed prior to expiration.
