The annual salary is $31,320.  Successful internal candidates for external job postings should be aware that their current salary does not transfer to the new position.  Salary will be as advertised in the job announcement.  Full-time employees of Eastern Florida State College receive fringe benefits including health insurance and a retirement plan.

The Cyber Security Lab Assistant will work for the EFSC Center for Cyber Security & Forensics by supporting the technical functionality and hours of operations to assist students, staff, and end users participating in the center’s labs.

The following minimum qualifications for this position must be met before any applicant will be considered:

• Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in Business, Computer Science or a related IT field.
• Understanding of the infrastructure and training aspects of operating virtual cyber ranges to include simulation and stimulation of local and remote networks.
• Knowledge in areas of providing training environments in a lab setting.
• Valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator’s license required.  
• This position will require successful fingerprinting and the candidate chosen will be required to pay the associated fee (currently $36.00). This fingerprinting fee ($36.00) is non-refundable.

Minimum physical qualifications:

• Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information and/or data from computer.
