Sequoia Choice Arizona Distance Learning is an online school that delivers curriculum and courses to students in various settings including Brick and Mortar sites through partnership agreements.  These locations combine a traditional classroom with an online learning environment while serving the specific needs of their community. Students are able to work at their own pace with the support of staff who provide face-to-face guidance and support with the online courses that are taught virtually by highly-qualified teachers.

Essential Tasks:

  • Act as liaison between Sequoia Choice Arizona Distance Learning administration and partner program to ensure successful implementation of school-wide initiatives, and compliance.
  • Embrace, promote, and bring together the mission of both Sequoia Choice and the partner program.
  • Regularly meet with school and site leadership to ensure all school policies are being followed and upheld.
  • Work with partner program to ensure technology is adequate and updated as required for school functions.
  • Provide basic technology support with systems and hardware to partner staff to sure they are able to assist students in successfully accessing and completing course work.
  • Develop processes and procedures that will enhance the student, stakeholder, partner and staff experience.
  • Prepare weekly schedules to ensure students can participate in virtual teaching sessions.
  • Manage and support state testing requirements.
  • Understand and present relevant data to partner and school leadership and support the strategic advancement of student progress.
  • Receive and follow-up on communications between Sequoia Choice and partner staff.
  • Attend IEP and 504 meetings for students attending the site.
  • Enter logs into school systems that pertain to the students.
  • Attend meetings in Phoenix as needed.
  • Work with Sequoia Choice administration and teacher regarding course discipline issues such as plagiarism, academic dishonesty, and inappropriate communications.
  • Work with outside vendors in developing safety response plan and other services that are of value to the students.

  • Maintain confidential materials and student information.
  • Willing to comply with and follow all school policies and procedures.
  • Experience in an educational setting preferred.
  • Build strong professional relationships with students, school staff, and parents.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a time sensitive environment.
  • Must possess sound decision-making skills and multi-task while working in an environment of stress with specific deadlines.
  • Must be available for in-person meetings.

Requirements:
