Assist in instructional activities with the development and presentation of learning materials and instructional exercises
Assist the teacher with planned activities including instructional programs
Record and file statistical data, grades and reports
Assist classroom teacher in maintaining individual student records
Assist in supervising students in the classroom, lunchroom and on the playground under the supervision of a staff member
Presents subject matter to students; utilizing a variety of methods and techniques such as lecture, discussion and supervised role-playing under the supervision of the teacher
Work closely with students individually or in small groups, as directed by the supervising teacher
Provide input in selecting activities appropriate to the abilities, needs and interests of the students
Assist in maintaining the classroom in a functional, attractive and orderly environment (i.e. bulletin board, displays, posters, etc.)
Assist the teacher in complying with I.E.P requirements and objectives
Reinforce behavioral expectations as directed by the classroom teacher
Manage discipline issues in accordance with administrative regulations, board policies and legal requirements
