Primary duties and responsibilities (But not Limited to):
• Provide families with a general introduction to the Babies Can’t Wait (BCW) system
• Support families find, understand, and navigate resources
• Develop tools and resources for district and state
• Build and maintain community partnerships
• Serve on specified task forces, advisory boards, and committees as a parent representative
• Increase parent representation at district- and state-level meetings
• Promote parent advocacy and family engagement
• Assist with Child Find and community outreach/involvement
• Support communication between and within families and systems of care
• Help with family transitions to Part B/Preschool supports
Required Qualifications:
• Parent/Primary Caregiver of a child who has been a part of Babies Can’t Wait
• Lives in the district they support
• Some college or a Bachelor’s Degree or higher Preferred
• Understanding of Babies Can’t Wait and navigating systems of care
• Ability to network and work collaboratively within BCW and the community
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Dedication to empowering families of children who are part of BCW
Education Requirements:
Minimum Requirements - High School Diploma
College Degree Preferred.
