Are you an experienced Structural Engineer looking for a new and exciting challenge? We have a fantastic opportunity for you to bring your skill and expertise to our structural engineering team at EAPC, a full-service design consulting firm offering Architecture, Engineering, and Industrial services.

As a Structural Engineer at EAPC, you will:

  • Provide structural design, detailing, and calculations as required for all phases of the design of new buildings and structures as well as additions to and renovations of existing buildings and structures.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and other project team members to understand project objectives and deliver optimal solutions
  • Edit and write structural specifications.
  • Perform structural investigations and/or feasibility studies including the writing of reports and providing cost estimates when required.
  • Provide direction to BIM Modelers as required to complete structural drawings.
  • Perform construction administration activities such as the review of material shop drawings, responding to contractor RFIs and construction questions, construction site visits, etc.
  • Perform site visits as required to field verify existing conditions, dimensions, elevations, etc.
  • Assist project managers in the development of internal design budgets and schedules as required.

To join us, you should have:

  • Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer
  • Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience in the design and detailing of buildings and structures utilizing steel, concrete, masonry, and wood
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes related to the structural design of buildings and structures
  • Proficient with structural design software such as RAM, RISA, Enercalc, or similar programs
  • Experience mentoring/training structural EITs
  • Demonstrated ability to sign and stamp individual work as well as review and stamp the work of other structural engineers or EITs
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills as well as interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Able to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship

The position will report directly to the Structural Department Manager and will work as an integrated member of a multi-discipline, in-house team of engineers, architects, and drafting technicians. Title and responsibilities will be tailored to your experience level.
