The Science+Technology team has an opening for an experienced Project Architect.

Position Summary:
DLR Group seeks an integrated, collaborative, and design leadership-oriented Architect to join our growing Science+Technology team. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience and demonstrated interest in science and technology projects, as well as a creative and collaborative mindset that enables them to tackle complex challenges inherent to these types of spaces. This is a career advancement opportunity for a professional who would enjoy an outward facing role while also working with colleagues internally.
Project Architects at DLR Group are responsible for managing all aspects of project document development for Science & Technology based projects in the Higher Education sector both large and small. They are also responsible for coordination with project team members to maintain work product quality within the established project schedule.

The successful candidate will:
- Have a comprehensive understanding of, and the ability to coordinate and lead, the design disciplines in developing technical solutions.
- Have knowledge of all aspects of professional practice from schematic design through project close-out.
- Be able to work and present ideas in a team environment as well as self-manage and self-motivate in a creative environment.
- Possess a high level of technical proficiency in the production of drawings.
- Work directly with Project Managers and Designers in the conceptual development of project documents.
- Grow as a leader of the in-house team, coordinating with engineers, interior designers, the PM, and consultants.
Required Qualifications:
- Professional Degree in Architecture or related field.
- 7-10+ years of experience and currently in the role of Project Architect, preferably on Science & Technology projects.
- Proficiency in Autodesk REVIT and CAD computer modeling and rendering software.
- Ability to make independent design decisions from a sound base of knowledge.
- Demonstrated experience with Science and Technology projects with a proven record of applying the technical and design aspects specific to this project type.
- The ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship.
- Professional architecture registration preferred.
