The DLR Group Internal Software Development team is seeking a passionate and skilled Software Engineering Manager to lead our dynamic software development team. This role involves overseeing a talented group of engineers, including several software engineers and driving the development of innovative software solutions that support our global network of architects, interior designers, and structural engineers.

Position Summary
As the Software Engineering Manager at DLR Group, you will be responsible for guiding and supervising our software engineering team. Your leadership will be crucial in shaping our software development practices and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and impactful software solutions. You will collaborate closely with various departments within the firm to understand their needs and translate these into effective software strategies.
The successful candidate will:
- Lead and manage a team of software engineers; including hiring, mentoring, and professional development.
- Write and review code, set coding standards, and lead the development team through hands-on technical expertise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align software development with company goals.
- Drive innovation and continuously improve software development processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure the technical excellence and quality of software products.
- Manage resource allocation and project timelines, balancing multiple priorities.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and high performance within the team.
- Lead and manage a geographically diverse team.
Required Qualifications:
- Prior experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction industry.
- Knowledge or interest in AI, Machine Learning, and emerging technological trends.
- Familiarity with SQL, Azure Cloud Services, and/or other cloud web services.
- A commitment to fostering a learning culture and continuous professional development within the team.
