  • Conduct thorough cost analysis to identify and evaluate cost-saving opportunities. Analyze production costs, variances, and performance against targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets and forecasts. Monitor and report on variances, providing explanations and recommendations.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports related to cost accounting. Present financial information to management, highlighting key performance indicators.
  • Oversee inventory valuation and reconciliation processes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in cost accounting functions. Work closely with other departments to streamline financial processes.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits.
  • Assist in the development of cost estimates for new products or services. Evaluate the impact of cost changes on overall business profitability.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as operations and procurement to gather relevant information. Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Proven experience in cost accounting, preferably in a senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and cost accounting methodologies.
  • Proficient in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting/ERP software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in standard costing.
