Job Summary:
BRIC is seeking a Budget Analyst to join their growing team!
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide thorough review of invoices, to include, but not limited to, checking for math errors, review backup documentation to support allocable costs, and advising of any discrepancies and non-allocable costs. Entering invoice costs into database, ensuring accuracy.
- Prepare Purchase Requests in automated system, monitoring progress of PR’s and contacting reviewers and the approvers to keep the PR moving in the system.
- Perform database quality audits and make corrections where needed.
- Assist in recording, tracking, and coordinating reports, budgets, invoices, action items and commitments. Develop, coordinate, and revise reports, presentation materials; document minutes of meetings and conferences and distribute associated materials.
- Prepare periodic and special program management documents and reports as required using established access databases and excel spreadsheets.
- Provide correspondence revisions and distribution, file maintenance, collation and distribution of reports
- Prepare monthly accrual reports, researching invoices and estimating costs for the month, entering data into automated system.
- Review Contract Modifications, check for math and verbiage discrepancies, informing Contracting Officer of discrepancies, and updating access data base with Modification information.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements (Education/Skills/Experience):
- Must have excellent working knowledge Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Access data base desirable.
- Basic understanding of accounting data bases.
- Active, or ability to obtain an “L” clearance with Department of Energy.
- Familiarity with Department of Energy contracting methodologies a plus.
- 5 years accounting experience, high school diploma required. Accounting degree desirable.
- Knowledge of STRIPES and FAST a plus.
- Potential travel to Washington, DC for Program Meetings.
